Electronic Imaging Services
Media
Wave Printing & Graphics accepts files on removable media drives including
USB thumb drives and CD-ROM/CDR/CDRW/DVD+R/DVD-R. All jobs
should be accompanied by a completed work order and a hard copy to assure
proper printing. If sending files via e-mail or FTP, please fax, mail, or bring
in hard copies of the files to be imaged and printed.
Applications
Both PC and Mac platforms are supported. We will accept files created by all
major desktop publishing applications. If you have any questions about
applications, please contact us to determine whether output is possible.
Fonts
We must have matching postscript or truetype fonts loaded on our system in order
to obtain satisfactory output results, so it is important that all fonts that
are used in your document be included when jobs are turned in for production.
Graphics
If your file includes graphics, please be sure to send them with the file as
well. All images should be saved as grayscale, spot color, or CMYK files. RGB
images will need to be converted to CMYK; this may require a surcharge, and the
colors of the file may change slightly. If your file involves spot color,
please save colors as spot and not CMYK; if we need to change artwork from CMYK
to spot color, again, a fee may be applied. If you have any questions regarding
saving artwork with spot colors, please contact us. For output of the highest
quality, please save files in either EPS, TIFF or PDF format at a high
resolution (300-400 dpi.) We can output other formats, such as JPEG and GIF,
but the output of such formats will not be as satisfactory. If you would like
us to edit your images (outline, create knockouts, digitally retouch, etc.),
please ask for a quote.
Design
Be sure that your layout will meet with press specifications and that panels are
spaced appropriately. Pricing will be affected by layout and design. If you
have any questions, please call for more information.
Proofing
To insure that you get what you expect, Wave offers two different methods of
checking file output prior to making plates and going to press. We can output a
paper or pdf proof at no charge.
